Snake Lane, Trosley & Hampton Court

Yvonne Crawford completed the Trosley 10k which included 174 steps. She completed this challenge in a time of 1:24:34.

Despite the windy weather, it did not stop Striders completing the Snake Lane 10 mile race in Pocklington. First Strider home was Guy Mills in a time of 1:29:10 and first strider female back was Talita Wigg in 1:48:58. (Other times: Barry Simmons 1:36:33, Pamela Farrell 1:50:08, Julie Southall 1:51:10).

Kieran Conway travelled to Hampton Court to complete the half marathon race. He completed this in a time of 1:36:18.

Hampton Court Half

A dozen Striders took part in the Hampton Court Half Marathon on Sunday, a popular 13.1 mile course starting and ending in the grounds of Henry VIII’s home and following a circular route along the banks of the Thames.  

Gavin Malloch got the bragging rights as the first Strider over the line in 2hrs7mins13secs. Amanda Mills kept her head and was the first lady strider back in 2hrs21mins28secs

Hampton Court Half Marathon 2018

10 Striders travelled to Hampton Court for a rather regal half marathon. First club member home went to Laura Forster in a speedy 1.55.53. Hot on her heals was Gina Woodfine who completed the 13.1-mile course in 2.02.36. Joint honours for third back home went to Esther Harris and Sean Bootes who both managed 2.10.27.

Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon

Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon : Sunday 19th March
5 Striders set off in the spectacular grounds of Hampton Court with the Palace as a backdrop. Racing in dry but windy conditions they took in scenic views of the Thames and palace grounds.  Hampton Court Palace is one of only two surviving palaces that King Henry VIII owned. The race started off inside the gates of the palace and finished up in its beautiful gardens. Paul Williams took home a trophy by winning his V55 age group.
