First Strider home was Sam Lewis who was 5th overall with a time of 1hr4min58secs and the first lady strider back was Caroline Lewis who was 6th lady overall in 1hr22min38secs.
The Striders won the two team prizes, with Lewis joined by Scott Simpson and Gareth Lewis for the male team prize. Gareth’s wife Caroline Lewis, Lucy Hewett and Jo Pettitt represented the women.
There was also a 2k fun run at the Highsted Grammar School HQ, attracting runners from pre-school age to adult beginners.
Striders Chairwoman and Race Director Emma Pomeroy started the race while Striders also thanked main sponsors Bennett Opies for their support, which included providing goodie bags for all runners and race marshals.
