Event: Paris Marathon

Paris in the Spring you can’t have a much better setting for the 40th Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, which saw unseasonably high temperatures of 17 degrees for the 43,317 runners taking part.
Injuries had taken their toll on a number of Striders who had had entered but could not take part but that didn’t stop them going along to support their fellow Striders and help add to the fantastic atmosphere for the 4 Striders who took part in this iconic race through the beautiful city.
Andy Baptie was first strider home in an amazing time of 3.22.47 placing him 3478th a PB for him. Nick Bayntun took second strider position in a time of 3.44.10 placing him 8678th overall, this was his first marathon outside of Ironman. 3rd Strider and the only female Strider was Rachel Ward in her first marathon putting in a time of 4.06.00 and placing her 16469th. In 4th Strider spot was Glenn Davies in a time of 4.09.17 placing him 17655th overall.
