Faversham 10k 2018

The Faversham 10km turned out to be a popular affair with a number of Sittingbourne Striders keen to race round the hilly course on Sunday, 16 September 2018.

Liz Weeks was at the front of the pack on the start line, leading out some 400 athletes round the rural lanes of Faversham. With some steep climbs and long undulations, the tricky course played into the hands of the speedy Strider and Liz went from strength to strength round the testing 6.2-miles. She won the ladies event convincingly in a time of 39mins 50secs.

Ollie Pryer was not far behind and must have had Liz in his sights as he crossed the line in a very respectable time of 40mins 21secs.

Bragging rights for 3 rd club member home went to James Pamplin who finished in 45mins.

Special mention must go to Karen Seymour, who finished in 48mins 55secs, earning her 4 th in her age group, but more importantly a personal best time.
