2 Striders took part in the Staplehust 10k, a fast, flat course around the village lanes makes this a popular race for runners hoping for a PB. Alison Davey crossed the line in 49m 21s placing her 131st out of 379 entrants. Ronald Smith finished in 56m 43 s placing him 220th overall.

8 Striders pitched up at Staplehurst Village Hall on a warm June Sunday morning for the popular Staplehurst 10k now in it’s 8th year. The competitors set off at 10am taking them along wide, rural country lanes on a fast flat course. Lee Elam was first strider home in a time of 40.51 placing him 59th overall in a field of 488 runners. In second Strider spot was Mick Diddams in a time of 44.27 which placed him 138th overall. Taking third position and 1st female strider home was Alison Davey in a time of 45.51 placing her in 167th place.
