Training Runs
Tuesday Nights 8pm
We meet every Tuesday evening at 8.00pm for a 5 to 7 mile run from the U.K. Paper Clubhouse in Gore Court Road. In the summer months we run a variety of routes around Sittingbourne and the surrounding villages. During the winter, routes are more limited and we have several runs around Sittingbourne.
Following the run, we meet in the club house for a leisurely drink in the bar.
Tuesday Nights 6.30pm - UK Paper sports ground, Gore Court Road
. This is a slow run especially for beginners, those who need to increase their confidence and anyone who just wants a leisurely run with a bit of chat and the occasional stop or even short walk. The run is usually between five and seven miles, running at about 10 to 12 minutes per mile. Everyone is very welcome. During the summer evenings we leave the town behind and get out in the country lanes and footpaths often running through the woods or fields. Winter runs are mainly confined to the town. Thursday Nights 5.30pm
We also meet on a Thursday evening at 5.30pm from the U.K. Paper Clubhouse in Gore Court Road for a leisurely paced 4-6 mile run.
Sunday Mornings 8am
We meet at Sittingbourne Community College in Swanstree Avenue every Sunday at 8am for a longer run. The distance varies from 10 miles upwards with longer runs for members training for a marathon.
All Aspiring Athletes and road runners, especially beginners, are welcome to attend these sessions without commitment.
