Beachy Head Marathon - 25th October 2009
Members & friends from the Sittingbourne Striders travelled down to Eastbourne to take part in the hardest marathon in the country the Beachyhead previously known as the Seven Sisters. The weather condition were terrible with rain and high winds which made the visibility bad and sometimes you could not see across the hills in the distance. Despite this every person who had entered from the team finished the race with plenty of experiences to exchange afterwards in the Pilot pub. The people that stayed over the weekend had a great time eating a very pleasant Indian on the Saturday evening and a walk down the pier on the Sunday morning which nearly included them in a Mods & Rockers movie!!! finishing off with the traditional Eastbourne ice cream.
